BLACKJACK RESEARCH Studies...

In 1963 an MIT professor named EDWARD THORP ran simulations which showed that the more low cards remaining in the deck or decks, the more the outcome favors the dealer.
The more HIGH Cards remaining , the more it favors the players, (thats over the long run, anyway).
This "Hi-lo system" was used by the MIT blackjack team.They scored sets of cards based on their face value plus or minus a certain number of points...

Like this :
Cards two(2) through six (6) were worth their face PLUS one(1)...
Cards ten (10 ) through Ace were worth their face value MINUS one (1)

Cards seven(7) through nine(9) had a nuetral value of zero...
